About Us

Who We Are

Silver Crescent CIC was created in 2025 by a group of community leaders, carers, and professionals who saw the growing needs of older Muslims — and the dedication of the organisations supporting them.

Many older Muslims experience loneliness, barriers to culturally-appropriate care, or difficulty accessing services. At the same time, community groups and non-profits are working hard but often lack the infrastructure, capacity, or resources to grow.

We exist to strengthen these networks and ensure that support for older Muslims and carers is delivered with dignity, compassion, and respect for faith and culture.

Our Mission & Vision

To strengthen the capacity of community networks and support carers through partnerships, infrastructure services, and culturally-sensitive engagement.

A UK where older Muslims and carers have access to high-quality support, trusted services, and strong community connections.

Our Values

Our work is guided by:

  • Compassion: Treating people with warmth, care, and understanding.
  • Equity: Improving fairness, access, and representation across all communities.
  • Empowerment: Giving organisations and individuals the confidence, tools, and support they need to grow.
  • Integrity: Being honest, reliable, and consistent in everything we do.
  • Respect: Honouring the diverse identities, experiences, and traditions within our communities.
  • Islamic Ethos: Grounding our work in principles of care, justice, dignity, and community spirit.
